Episode 3.14 – Slewfoot Christmas Spectacular!

Happy Holidays from us here at the Slewfoot Hockey Show!

We are pleased to bring not one, but two interviews on tonight’s show – #1: We have Scotty Bollert from Award Winning London Band “After the Lounge” to discuss the band’s new single “Spirit of the Knights” and of course, some hockey.

#2: We also have Grant Lawrence, Author of “The Lonely End of the Rink” with us to discuss his book and again, more hockey (it’s what we do!)

We talk about our Canadian World Junior Team and the tournament starting on Boxing Day (It’s tradition!) and how they may perform in this year’s tournament.

We thank you all for listening and wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

Fred & Jeff

Episode 3.13 – Which Thornton is Truculent

Today we discuss the Scott, I mean Joe, I mean the Shawn Thornton suspension handed down by the Shana-hammer, the bionic Steven Stamkos and the surprise truculent firing of Jay Feaster in Calgary (nobody was fooled Mr. Burke)

Fred discusses the up and down ways of the Habs this past week (really, it`s been a tough few weeks) Jeff skirts around the the issue of the value of the Leafs David Clarkson and we both talk about the Knights and what a great weekend they had.

Be sure to tune in next week to hear us talk about the World Juniors – we`ll give a bit of a preview on the teams including our Canadian Juniors. Wherever you`re from, let us know why your team is going to win!

Thanks everyone for listening! And thank you for your comments and feedback! Keep them coming!

Episode 3.12 – the Keeper of the Cup!

On this week’s episode, we are thrilled to welcome to the show Phil Pritchard, the Curator of the coolest museum around, the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. Phil is also widely known as “The Keeper of the Cup” (that’t the Stanley Cup by the way) Phil shares some great stories and more about his adventures with Sport’s Coolest Trophy.

We also discuss the ugly incidents that happened in Boston during the Bruins and Penguins game, the recent winning ways of the Habs, the multitude of shots the Leafs have been facing, and the exclusion of the Knight’s  Max Domi from Canada’s World Junior Team.

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen! We look forward to your questions and comments!

Slewfoot 3.11 – the Anchorboy Jay Onrait!

This week’s show has Jeff and Fred spending some time with Fox Sports Live’s Jay Onrait (formerly of TSN fame) who is now on the Best Seller’s list for his book “Anchorboy” – go pick it up and give it a read!

The guys also discuss the plight of a couple of singers with some Anthem Amnesia (ouch) as well as the new deal struck between Rogers and the NHL, some Habs news, some Leafs news and as always, some new about our London Knights. Be sure to check out our Slewfoot Sassback segment, we’d love to hear what you have to say!

Thanks everyone for listening!
