The LA Kings dominated the Stanley Cup Final, defeating the New York Rangers in a Double-Overtime thriller and took the Series Four games to One.

On this Episode we discuss the Finals, what went well for the Kings and our thoughts on a potential “dynasty” with the Kings and even just the dominance the Western Conference has held the past few seasons.

Now that the Season is over, we discuss what the players do with the Stanley Cup, there’s already some early Stanley Cup celebrations, including a stop by Justin Williams, Alec Martinez and friend of the show, the Keeper of the Cup, Phil Pritchard on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. (You can hear Phil’s interview with us here)

We also would like to encourage you to check out Frank Block’s new book “The Metro Prystai Story” – Frank has been a Guest Host on our show this season (check that show out right here) and has really poured his heart and soul into the book – please go and check it out! It’s a fantastic read!

Finally, we would like to introduce our new Podcast we will be launching soon. It’s called “Slewfoot Goes to the Movies” – a movie review show where we’ll be reviewing several great sports movies that are out there. Go check it out, check out our list of movies and if there’s a movie you’d like to hear reviewed sooner, please drop us a line to get it moved up on the list.

Thank you for listening and we look forward to your feedback!

Slewfoot 3.32 – The Finals are Here!

After a long, hard fought season, The Finals are here.

The New York Rangers overcame Montreal in 6 games, and the LA Kings outlasted a furious comeback by the Chicago Blackhawks and played a great Game 7 t make it to the Finals! Congratulations to both teams!

So now for our predictions – Jeff, like most people, does not give the Rangers much of a chance. He has the Kings defeating the Rangers in 5 games.

Fred, on the other hand, has suggested that the Rangers have some fight left in them. They’ve defeated Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Montreal – all good teams to make it to the Finals and Fred believes they have enough in the tank, and some great goaltending with King Henrik to defeat the Kings in 7 games.

Who will win? Well in a few weeks we’ll find out!

Enjoy the hockey and thank you for listening!
